This is a legend narrated for centuries in the alleys of the historic center. It speaks of three noble sisters, Donna Regina, Donna Albina and Donna Romita, who were orphans and bound to by a very deep affection. Bad luck wants them to fall in love with the same man: from that moment, their relationship breaks down, ruined by resentment and jealousy. After long-suffering, the three sisters made peace, giving up earthly love and choosing to devote themselves to religion. Each of them took the veil and, with their share of the inheritance, founded a monastery. Exhibited inside the suite, three works tell this legend. In Daniele Pergreffi's painting, we can see the three sisters each holding up their own monastery, while Simona Lanzillo portrays them using a mixed technique of oil colors and photographic clippings. Stefano Parisio Perrotti dedicates a sculpture to them, in which the noblewomen hold a heart together, a symbol of their common passion.
